The American Civil War Museum of Ohio is a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) public charity formed to satisfy our community’s need for a unique educational museum by collecting, preserving, and interpreting the American Civil War and its impact on the current generation of American people.

The museum opened on December 9, 2006 and has become a valued destination for  history enthusiasts, educators, and the general public. Our expansion in November of 2007 has enabled the museum to become a true “destination site” within our community.
